Frequently Asked Questions

How letters, phone cancellations, pricing and signing work.

Letters and certified mail

What does the letter say?

It gives written notice that you're cancelling, names the account holder and account number, gives the date billing should stop, asks the company to stop billing after that date, and asks for written confirmation by email and mail.

How fast do you mail it?

Within one business day of your order. We email you the USPS tracking number when it goes out.

Why certified mail?

USPS Certified Mail gives you a mailing receipt and a record of when the letter was delivered. If the company says it never got your notice, that record is your proof.

Where do you send it?

To the address the company lists for cancellation notices. For gyms and clubs that take notice at your home location, you enter that address when you order.

Phone cancellations

How does a phone cancellation work?

Send a request from the company's guide. We call, wait on hold and turn down the retention offers. If the company needs to hear from the account holder, we contact you first.

When do I pay for a phone cancellation?

Only after the company confirms the cancellation. We email you the confirmation and a $29 payment link.

Pricing and refunds

What does it cost?

A mailed letter is $29, paid when you order. A phone cancellation is $29, paid after it's confirmed. The guides are free.

Do I get a refund if something goes wrong?

If we don't mail your letter, you get a full refund. We can't promise the company will honor the cancellation, so the fee isn't refunded if they ignore a letter we delivered.

Signing and authorization

How do I sign?

You agree to sign electronically, type your full name and draw your signature with a finger or mouse. You can also use your typed name as your signature.

What are you allowed to do with my signature?

Only send the letter you reviewed. You authorize us to send that letter on your behalf. We record the time, your IP address and a fingerprint of the letter text so there's a clear record of what you signed.

Can you sign a notarized form for me?

No. If a company requires a notarized form, our guide links to the official form so you can complete it with a notary.

Privacy

What do you keep?

Your account details, the letter, your signature and the signing record. Stripe handles your card details; we never see your full card number.

Do you sell my information?

No. We use it to send your cancellation and keep a record of it.
